AGE: 9-16 Yrs

 

THE COACHES EMPLOYED AT DUBAI YOUTH OLYMPIC SCHOOL OF RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD AND EXPERTISE IN RAISING AND TRAINING MANY NATIONAL LEVEL ATHLETES.

 

WHILE CURRENTLY THERE IS NO OFFICIALLY-RECOGNIZED NATIONAL TEAM FOR RHYTMIC GYMNASTICS IN THE UAE, ELITE LEVEL IS COMPRISED OF HIGH-LEVEL AND COMPETITIVE GYMNASTS WHOM MAY HAVE THE POTENTIAL AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPRESENT THE UAE OR THEIR RESPECTIVE NATIONALITIES ON SELECT INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS AND WORLDWIDE TOURNAMENTS. ONLY THE BEST CANDIDATES ARE SELECTED TO JOIN THE "ELITE TEAM". 

 

ELITE TEAM PRACTICES 4 HOURS A DAY, 5 - 6 TIMES A WEEK. EVERY TERM THE BEST GYMNASTS ARE SELECTED TO REPRESENT DUBAI YOUTH OLYMPIC SCHOOL OF RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS ON INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS. OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE WOMEN-ONLY SPORTS IN THE UAE AND PIONEER A NATIONAL RHYTMIC GYMNASTICS PROGRAMME AIMING AT ACHIEVING HIGH RESULTS AND RANKING ON INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS,  BRINGING OUR ATHLETES ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE WORLD’S TOP CHAMPIONSHIPS, GRAND PRIX EVENTS AND PERHAPS ONE DAY IN OLYMPIC GAMES. ELITE TEAM PRACTICES WITH A HEAD COACH AND HAS A SPECIALLY ASSIGNED BALLET TEACHER AND CHOREOGRAPHER FOR THE TEAM.

 

FOREIGN / VISITING GYMNASTS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN UAE GYMNASTICS PROGRAMME.

 

PLEASE NOTE, FOR PARTICIPATION IN ALL INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS AND OVERSEAS TOURNAMENTS, MINIMUM REQUIRED PRACTICE IS 20 HOURS A WEEK.

 

TRAINING 

TRAINING INCLUDES: 

- GENERAL PHYSICAL EDUCATION. STRENGTH & BODY CONDITIONING. STRETCHING & FLEXIBILITY EXERCISES. ACROBATICS. 

- RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS 5 APPARATUS PRACTICE (ROPE, HOOP, BALL, CLUBS, RIBBON). 

- APPARATUS MASTERY AND HANDLING. 

- 2-4 ROUTINES PERFORMANCE (DEPENDING ON THE AGE)

- BALLET AND DANCE CLASSES.

 

PLUS +

    •    CHOREOGRAPHY OF 4 ROUTINES, BASED ON FIG RULES (INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF GYMNASTICS).

    •    INDIVIDUAL CHOREOGRAPHY OF FIG ROUTINES (SELECTED CANDIDATES ONLY).

    •    INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS AND COMPETITIONS (SELECTED GYMNASTS, ALL NATIONALITIES).

    •    ABROAD TRAINING ARRANGEMENTS AND INTERNATIONAL CAMPS WITH RG’S OLYMPIC STARS.

    •    HEALTH AND SAFETY LECTURES

    •    DISCIPLINE AND SELF-CONTROL, CONFIDENCE AND MOTIVATION LESSONS

    •    FOOD AND NUTRITION LESSONS, ADVISED FOR RG (FOR ALL CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS)
